The Flagstaff Eagles began their run in the 4A Girls State Basketball Playoffs Wednesday night. It wasn’t pretty, but the Eagles got the win, 52-24 over the Poston Butte Broncos. Flagstaff lead by ten points after the first quarter, 21-11. From the second quarter on, Poston Butte scored 13 points total. The Eagles were led by Jasmine Redhouse with 12 points and Gracelyn Nez had 11 in the win. The Eagles will host the 13th-seeded Greenway Demons, who upset fourth-seeded Mesquite in the first round Wednesday. The winner will play either Deer Valley or Shadow Mountain in the semifinals.
