The Flagstaff Eagles and Coconino Panthers are 2-0 for the first time since 2004 after wins Friday night at home. The Panthers scored 28 points in the first quarter and rolled to a 49-0 win over 5A Carl Hayden in their home opener at Cromer Stadium. Zack Bennett had his second straight 100 yard game after he rushed for 113 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns in the win. Luis Jaramillo rushed for a pair of touchdowns and Jace Wetzel had his second straight 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Eagles 48-17 win over the Dysart Demmons in the Skydome. The Eagles scored 20 points off Demon first half turnovers and had a 41-0 lead at halftime. Flagstaff heads on the road next week to take on the Tempe Buffaloes and Coconino is at home against the Cortes Colts. Kickoff is a 7 p.m. on KAFF Country Legends 93.5 and AM 930.
