Flagstaff And Coconino Dominated Friday Night In Phoenix And Tempe

The Flagstaff Eagles and Coconino Panthers went down to Phoenix and made statements Friday night. The Eagles dominated the Thunderbird Titans after having to rally to win the week before. Bodie Maier threw three touchdown passes, with one going senior tight end Nick Morrow, who also had a block punt that he also recovered. Morrow also had an interception return for a touchdown in the win. The Flagstaff Eagles have scored more than 40 points in three straight games, which is the first time that has happened in school history. The Eagles are 4-0 and will return home to the Skydome to take on the Winslow Bulldogs Thursday night. The Panthers scored the first 20 points and didn’t look back as Coconino beat the Padres 49-21, to improve to 2-0. Jonathan Jaramillo had another 100 yard game as he had eleven carries for 146 yards and a touchdown. Cooper French also had eleven carries for 100 yards. Sophomore Enoch Watson had the best game of his young varsity career. He was eight-of-13 for 137 yards and three touchdowns and Andy Ruiz had seven catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns as Coconino had 473 yards of total offense, 336 yards came running the football. The Panthers will head to the White Mountains to battle the Snowflake Lobos next Friday night. We will have both games for you, starting with Flagstaff versus Winslow Thursday night and Coconino and Snowflake on Friday night.
