The Flagstaff Eagles and Coconino Panthers will battle for the third time this season in softball, this time with the season on the line for both teams. The 14th-seeded Eagles fell to sixth-seeded Paradise Honors in the west valley yesterday 9-1. Reese Elliott drove in Gianna Baca for the Eagles only run of the game. They move into the elimination bracket, where they will face seventh-seeded Coconino, who fell last night to second-seed Greenway 6-2. The Demons scored four runs in the fourth and two in the six, and kept Coconino off the scoreboard until the seventh inning, to get the win. Coconino will host Flagstaff Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. The winner will take on the loser of Paradise Honors and Greenway next Tuesday at the Papago Softball Complex in Phoenix at 5:30 p.m.
