Prescott National Forest fire crews are keeping an eye on the Buzzard Fire south of Prescott. Fire officials say the lightning-caused fire is located about five-miles south of Ponderosa Park east of Wilhoit. Firefighters say as of Tuesday morning there is minimal fire behavior with no additional growth overnight. The fire has burned about 100 acres and there are no structures in the area. Several roads are closed. Fire crews will work on putting out hot spots along the perimeter of the fire. With humidities, and rain chances, high it will help firefighters gain control of the fire.
