Fire Managers On The Prescott National Forest To Begin Pile Burns Tuesday

Fire managers on the Bradshaw Ranger District will begin pile burning near Walker, Ponderosa Park, White Spar and Copper Basin this week. The burns are set to begin Tuesday and end on Monday, December 13th. Officials say the smoke impact should be light in surrounding areas. Pile burns help in reducing dangerous fuels left in the forest as well as increase the nearby communities’ resilience. Forest visitors are reminded to follow all traffic signs and use caution when traveling near the fire. For more information and to stay up to date, go to the Prescott National Forest website, or check out their Facebook and Twitter pages.
