Fire Crews Quickly Knock Down A Brush Fire In Prescott Sunday Night

Fire crews rushed to contain a brush fire that sparked Sunday night in Prescott. Prescott and Central Arizona Fire and Medical crews responded to the fire along the Granite Dells Parkway between Highway 89A and the Granite Dells subdivision at around 8 p.m. When crews arrived they found around an acre fire progressing through grass and brush. Crews were able to establish a perimeter around the fire and stop it from getting to the highway. The blaze was contained after about two hours of work. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
