Fire crews rushed out to an area north of Leupp Road east of Flagstaff Saturday afternoon to battle a fire among strong gusty winds. The Cochrane Fire began at around 4:11 p.m. near the old airstrip and near the old Maroon Fire. The Cochrane Fire burned 52 acres and was contained at around 10:30 p.m. No structures were lost and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
