A fire broke out at the Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott Saturday. Animal officials say the fire started at the back of the Lost and Found Building at around 11:10 p.m. Prescott Fire crews were quick to respond and were able to contain the fire within minutes of arriving. No animals perished or were injured due to the blaze. Animal officials say they are monitoring the animals at the facility for any signs of stress or illness due to smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
