The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is lifting the final evacuation orders on the Crooks Fire Wednesday. Residents in the Lookout Mountain area, Poland Road, Tall Pines Road, Golden Eagle and Short Pines roads and Senator Highway can reported to their homes beginning at 9 a.m. The return is for residents only until 3 p.m. Residents will need to show documentation of ownership to return and will need to check in at the roadblock located at Senator Highway and Wiggler Road. At 9 a.m. Lookout Mountain will move to “Set” status, with other areas in “Ready.” If property owners get to their residences and find damage to their homes, they can call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 for assistance. Areas of the Prescott National Forest around the Crooks Fire remain closed.
