Flagstaff Police responded to a call of a dead body Thursday morning at the intersection of East Butler Avenue and East Ponderosa Parkway. Authorities found 47-year-old Emerson Haudley of Chinle at around 10:19 a.m. lying in the snow near a retaining wall of the tunnel that runs beneath the intersection. He is the father of Travis Haudley, who was fatally struck by a train the night before. Officials say there was no signs of trauma to Emerson, although severe cold temperatures overnight are believed to have contributed to his death. His body has been taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
