Father And Son Arrested Suspected Of Shooting Nearly 50 Rounds At A Neighbor’s House

A father and son were arrested last week after they reportedly fired gunshots at a neighbor’s house. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an area in the Breezy Pines community, southeast of Prescott. The caller says they started hearing gunshots following a confrontation with his neighbor and son over their alleged reckless driving of their side-by-side. Deputies spoke to the neighbors and they pointed out the residence where they believed the gunshots originated. As deputies approached the home, 42-year-old Dennis Gherman and his 19-year-old son Devon met them, denying firing any weapons. Deputies collected several firearms and found 46 shell casings where Dennis was seen yelling at his neighbor. They were arrested on felony charges of reckless discharge of a weapon and one count of felony contraband. No one was injured in the incident.
