The son of evangelist Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, is bringing his “Route 66 God Loves You Tour” to Flagstaff. The tour will make a stop at Fort Tuthill County Park on Thursday, September 30th. Franklin is the president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and says he put the tour together to bring love and hope to people who have been sick, afraid and have lost loved ones. “The pandemic has added stress to each of our lives. No one is untouched by the hopelessness and uncertainty of our future,” said Mark Smith, pastor of Grace Community Church in Flagstaff. “We all need to hear a message of hope, and Franklin Graham is coming to share that hope is found in knowing there is a God who made us, loves us, and invites us to know Him.” The event is being billed as a “festive, family-friendly event” that is free to attend. Graham will speak at the event, while Christian music artists Marcos Witt and Newsboys will perform. The Flagstaff tour stop is one of eight on the “Route 66” tour. Those who attend are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. The event starts at 7 p.m. The tour starts in Joliet, Illinois September 19th and runs through October 2nd in San Bernardino, California.
