A 94-year-old woman is being treated in a Phoenix area hospital after she was hit by a pickup truck while walking in a crosswalk Monday morning in Prescott. Police say the woman was walking across the street at the intersection of Ruth Street and Whipple Street at around 7:27 a.m. As she was crossing, she was hit by a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 63-year-old Prescott man. He was turning right from Ruth Street onto Whipple Street when she hit the woman, causing her to fall. Investigators learned the truck was driving at a slow speed at the time of impact. The woman was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and then flown to Phoenix with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown. The cause and contributing factors to the accident is unknown, but investigators believe the driver was not impaired.
