A man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 69 in Prescott Thursday. Police received a call at around 3:30 p.m. near Costco, about a motorcycle that crashed. Officials say 69-year-old Douglas Cannon of Prescott Valley suffered multiple injuries to his head and body. He was stabilized and flown to a Phoenix-area hospital. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and is listed in stable condition. Traffic on both sides of Highway 69 was backed up for more than an hour. Police say alcohol may have played a role in the accident. It also didn’t help matters when a driver almost caused another accident while she tried to film the accident scene with her phone after she drove past the area. That was a violation of the hands-free use law and hampered traffic flow.
