Early voting is underway in Yavapai County in Prescott and Dewey-Humboldt. The City of Prescott is holding a primary election for mayor and three city council seats, and Dewey-Humboldt is holding a recall election. Prescott’s mayoral primary is between Mayor Greg Mengarelli and current city councilman Phil Goode. There are six candidates running for three seats and voters will chose two candidates. To vote in person, visit the Yavapai County Recorder’s Office in Prescott at 1015 Fair Street Room 228, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and through 7 p.m. on election day. Mail-in ballots are in the mail. If you haven’t received your ballot by next Friday, call the recorder’s office. If you are voting by mail-in, remember to sign your affidavit envelope in your original handwriting. In person voting lasts through election day, August 3rd.
