An early morning fire sent flames and smoke into the air out on Leupp Road near Flagstaff Saturday. Summit Fire and Medical crews responded to a house off the road at around 6:30 a.m. When crews arrived they found a single-story home fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the original structure without spread. Residents of the home were able to get out of the home safely, however, one person was treated and transported to Flagstaff Medical Center with issues unrelated to the fire. Family members tell KAFF News two puppies were lost in the fire and a cat is missing. The home is a total loss. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
