Domino’s Pizza Of Flagstaff Warns Customers Of An Online Scam

There’s a credit card scam affecting a Flagstaff business using social media websites. Domino’s Pizza in Flagstaff says they have seen an influx of credit card fraud from third party ads on social media platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The “ad” asks the customer to click on a link to get a free pizza. Officials say that is a scam as they are not associated with any third party websites. What the third party websites are doing is using Domino’s profile accounts that have been hacked and using other customer’s credit cards to pay for the order. The order is then sent to Flagstaff addresses. Most times the card holder is in another state. The hacked accounts get email confirmations for “their order” and are calling the store in Flagstaff once they check their emails and say they live in another state and didn’t order. When that happens, the customer’s information is compromised, the store is out food and labor costs, and the original person is out money. Customers should only order online through the Domino’s website or the app. To protect yourself from online scams, never save your credit card info to any online profile and change your passwords frequently.
