Dead Body Found In Oak Creek Canyon Recently Has Been Identified

A man who was found dead near the switchbacks of Oak Creek Canyon back on August 17th has been identified. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say 87-year-old Alan Arvey of Sun City, Arizona was reported missing by his family to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office the week of finding his body. Detectives from Maricopa County reached out the Coconino County officials saying the image on a flyer matched the identification of their missing person. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
