Day 6 Of “Catch 22” Focuses On A Man Involved In A Kidnapping Who Skipped On Probation

Day Six of Yavapai Silent Witness’ “Catch 22” program focuses on a Phoenix man who was involved in a kidnapping in Black Canyon City in 2019, who has since skipped out on his probation. Thirty-six-year-old Jared Joseph Daricek, and a co-conspirator, kidnapped two adult males back on September 3rd, 2019 outside of the Rock Springs Café in Black Canyon City. Daricek and his partner got the victims’ female friend in their car and threatened to hurt her if they didn’t get into the car. Once inside the car, the victims were assaulted in the moving vehicle. The two victims then jumped out of the vehicle sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives later established that the victims’ female friend, 29-year-old Brittney Jessup from Prescott, was assisting Daricek in the crime. Daricek was convicted of two counts of kidnapping. He was later placed on probation which he has now violated. Daricek is described as a white male, five-feet-ten inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on his left forearm that says “Jenna.” His last known address was in Dewey. There is a $500 reward for information leading to Daricek’s arrest. Anyone with information needs to call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
