Another suspect in Yavapai County Silent Witness’ “Catch 22” program has been arrested in Cottonwood. Police arrested Day 6 suspect, 30-year-old Roberto Alejandro Tirado Tuesday. Tirado was wanted on a probation violation after he was found guilty of disorderly conduct with a weapon per domestic violence and his probation from a child abuse incident was revoked. In June of last year, Tirado abused a three-year-old autistic child, then in a separate incident in August, Tirado became angry with the mother of the child and assaulted her. Tirado pushed the victim against a wall with force and bit her nose. Cottonwood Police and Verde Valley SWAT members arrived at a home in the 17-hundred block of Sawmill Road Tuesday and served a search warrant. After several attempts to get Tirado to come out of the house, the team sent in a K-9 and officers were able to make the arrest. During a search of the residence, investigators found several swords. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on the probation violation from previous crimes, as well as a felony charge of being a prohibited possessor of weapons. He is being held on $25-thousand bond.
