Today is Day 19 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ “Catch 22” program. Today we focus on finding 29-year-old Ryan William Welch of Prescott. On March 3rd, 2019, Welch went to a home on the 600-block of La Paloma Lane. At the time, there was a court order in place that prohibited Welch from being at the home. After he arrived, he shattered the window with a rock, spraying glass in the female victim’s face, causing her to bleed. Welch threatened to kill an adult male victim, who was also inside the house. The male fired two shots from a handgun at Welch, as he feared for his safety and that of others in the home. Welch then went to a glass door in the back of the house and shattered that with a rock and entered the home with a large rock still in his hand. He threatened to kill them again. The male victim fired two more shots at Welch and then tackled him to the floor. Welch was taken to a hospital and was treated and released the next day. He was arrested by Prescott Police. He has a warrant for second degree burglary and aggravated harassment. Welch is a white male, five-foot-six inches tall and weighs 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes and has multiple tattoos to include boxing gloves on his chest. A reward of up to $500 is being offered for information leading to his arrest. If anyone has information on Welch’s whereabouts, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip at yavapaisw.com.
