Day 19 Of “Catch 22” Focuses On A Woman Who Once Took Over $1600 From An Elderly Man

It’s Day 19 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ “Catch 22” program. Today we feature the search for 39-year-old Vanessa Lynn Chavez. Between July third and ninth of 2013, an elderly victim reported to police that someone made multiple withdrawls from his bank account totaling over 16-hundred dollars. The transactions were made from an ATM at a mini-mart in Prescott Valley. A Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputy was able to retrieve video of the suspect using the ATM during the time periods when the withdrawls were made. The victim was a resident of a care home in Prescott Valley and the suspect was identified as Chavez, who worked at the home. She was located and arrested without incident, but was released and has since failed to appear on several charges. Chavez is a white female, five-foot-four inches tall and weighs 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo that reads “Vanessa” above her ankle. Her last known address was in Prescott Valley. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to her arrest. If anyone knows her whereabouts, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
