Today is Day 17 in Yavapai Silent Witness’s “Catch 22” program. Today we focus on 28-year-old James Oberle. He was pulled over back on April 9th in Cordes Lakes. During the stop, a Yavapai County Sheriff’s K9 alerted deputies that the vehicle contained drugs. After a search, deputies found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Oberle was taken into custody and became combative and complained of chest pains. While en route to the hospital, he attempted to get out of his restraints and get out of the ambulance. A deputy tried to restrain him, but Oberle assaulted him by trying to bite and kick the deputy. At the hospital, Oberle tried to escape again and assaulted another deputy. He was booked and later released and has a warrant out for his arrest after he missed a court date. Oberle is a white male, five-foot-ten inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in Phoenix. Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to his arrest. If anyone has information on Oberle’s whereabouts, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
