A dangerous man, who was wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this month in Flagstaff, has been arrested. Officers responded to the 52-hundred block of East Cortland Boulevard at around 12:20 a.m. back on July 18th. The victim was shot in the leg after a verbal altercation. He was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Thirty-five-year-old Pedro Herrera of Flagstaff left the area after the shooting. On Thursday, U.S. Marshal’s found Herrera, leaving an apartment in West Phoenix in the area of 35th Avenue and Northern. He was taken into custody without incident. Herrera has been booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility on charges related to the incident. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
