The number of deaths from COVID-19 in Coconino County has been declining since the first of the month. Health officials say back on May 2nd, there were ten deaths record, which has consistently decreased to three so far this week. There was another death recorded Thursday for 68 total in the county. Negative test results are up 264 from Wednesday to over 63-hundred total. Positive cases are up to 943 total cases. The number of positive tests in the Greater Flagstaff Area is up to 233, with 128 of the cases in area of East Flagstaff north to Wupatki National Monument. There are 83 cases reported in West Flagstaff and Fort Valley. County health officials are remind people to continue social distancing and preventative measures heading into the Memorial Day Weekend.
