Positive cases of COVID-19 have surpassed the 1,000 case mark in Coconino County, but negative tests continue to increase. Health officials say there were 13 new cases reported Tuesday to increase the total to 1,006. There was an additional death reported for 72 total. There were 136 cases that have tested negative that were reported Tuesday for 7,473 total. Of the confirmed and probable cases, 148 were admitted to the hospital at some time during their illness. Officials say 26 are currently hospitalized. The total percent of those tested to positive cases in the county is 12-percent. Another testing blitz will take place this Saturday in Flagstaff. The testing event will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the county health services building on King Street. Anyone who wants a test can get tested on Saturday, a doctor’s note is not needed. If you have a doctor’s note, you can get tested Monday through Friday at Fort Tuthill from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
