There have been 16 news cases and another death reported Thursday in Yavapai County. Health officials say the latest death was a senior citizen in the Quad Cities area. There are now five deaths, 246 confirmed cases and 37 recoveries thus far. Officials say 84 of the 141 students and 20 staff at Mingus Mountain Academy have tested positive with more test results pending. The total number of those tested in Yavapai County is now 6,556. Out of those tested, 6,310 were negative. There are now 127 cases in Prescott Valley, 43 in Prescott and 12 each in Cottonwood and Sedona. Officials say there are 11 cases in Mayer and eight in Dewey. There are now ten cases in Camp Verde and nine in Chino Valley. The percent of negative tests in Yavapai County is up to 96.2-percent.
