Covicted Murderer Collin Tarr Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison

The man convicted of murdering his Kachina Village neighbor in 2018 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Thirty-one-year-old Collin Tarr was found guilty last month of second-degree murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death of 53-year-old Timothy Larson. Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Gambel Oak Trail back on February 9th, 2018 after receiving a report there was a fight in progress. Two men were reportedly drinking when the fight started. When deputies arrived they found Larson unresponsive laying in the middle of the road. Larson was being guarded by an aggressive dog which was ultimately taken from the scene by a neighbor who knew it. A crew from the Highlands Fire Department arrived and began working on him to try and save his life, but Larson was pronounced dead a short time later and deputies arrested Tarr. He was sentenced Friday in Coconino County Superior Court.
