Coconino County Emergency Management will conduct a siren test in Oak Creek Canyon Wednesday at around 10 a.m. The system notifies Oak Creek Canyon and Uptown Sedona residents of severe emergencies within the canyon. During emergencies, sirens will be used when the National Weather Service issues a Flash Flood Warning for Oak Creek Canyon. If sirens sound, head to higher ground and listen to 92.9 KAFF Country or KAFF Country 93.5/AM 930 for the latest information. Remember, when the sirens go off Wednesday, it’s only a test. Yavapai County Emergency Management, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and the Sedona Police and Fire are assisting in the test.
