Cottonwood Police Looking For An Armed Robbery Suspect

A woman’s rental car was stolen, under force, Monday night in Cottonwood. Police responded to a call in the area of North Pinal Street and First Street in Old Town at around 5:30 p.m. for a reported armed robbery. The woman told police she picked up a to go order from a local restaurant and when she returned to the vehicle, a male suspect came up behind her and held her, with what she believed to be, a knife to her neck. He took the vehicle and her wallet. The woman was from out of state and the rental car is described as a 2018 light blue Ford Expedition with California license plate 8EGF397. The suspect is a Hispanic male, between 30-and-35 years of age with a shaved head, clean shaven and a stocky build. He was around five-foot-ten inches tall and spoke English with a slight Spanish accent. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans. The woman was not injured in the attack.
