Cottonwood Police Arrest Two Men During A Traffic Stop

Cottonwood Police’s K9 dog “Kratos” has been busy lately as officers arrested two men last week. On January 29th, Cottonwood Police conducted a traffic stop at around 10:30 p.m. During the stop the officer ran “Kratos” around the vehicle for a free air sniff and the dog alerted the officer to the passenger side. It was there the officer found around four grams of meth hidden in the seat. Arrested were 26-year-old Chad Andrew Edwards and 33-year-old Brian Justin Ramirez, both of Cottonwood. A third man, the driver, was issued a citation and was released from the scene. Edwards and Ramirez were booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center. Edwards was booked on possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia possession. Ramirez was booked on a misdemeanor warrant.
