Cottonwood Police Arrest A Man Trying To Steal A Purse From A Woman At The Verde Valley Medical Center

A man was arrested after he committed a robbery at the Verde Valley Medical Center Wednesday afternoon in Cottonwood. Police say 30-year-old Nicholas Thomas from Cottonwood, grabbed a purse from a woman as she was walking into the hospital at around 12:30 p.m. A family member of Nicholas’ tried to stop him from taking the purse and Nicholas jumped into the family member’s vehicle and tried to leave. Hospital security stopped Nicholas from leaving and detained him until officers arrived. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on one count of strong-armed robbery. The victim was uninjured in the attack.
