A Cottonwood man is facing two felony charges after robbing the Cottonwood Walmart of less than ten-dollars worth of merchandise. Police say 27-year-old Nicholas Lee Martin shoplifted from the store and then sped off in a green Ford passenger car at around 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday. Police were able to get a license plate number and a description from the store. Martin was found in the Fry’s grocery store parking lot and was taken into custody. The items Martin allegedly stole totaled $9.12. However drug paraphernalia was found in the car he was in and he has prior convictions on his record which takes a misdemeanor up to a felony. Martin was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia, both felonies.
