Cottonwood Police arrested a man last week who robbed a person at knife point to get money that was allegedly owed to him. Officers responded to the Walmart parking lot back on Friday, November 1st on a report of a robbery. The female victim says she was just robbed by 36-year-old Christopher Michael Kelley from Cottonwood. He also is known by the name of “Baltimore.” He approached her with a knife in one hand and rock in the other and told her to give him the money she owed him. After she gave him the money, Kelley threw the rock through her driver’s side window, hitting her in the face. Kelley wasn’t found and the victim was taken to a local hospital and was treated and released. This past Thursday, police received a tip Kelley was hiding inside a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. He was located and taken into custody. Kelley was booked on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and prohibited possessor, which are felonies, and misdemeanor criminal damage.
