Cordes Lakes Woman Killed After A Single-Vehicle Accident Sunday Near Mayer

A Cordes Lakes woman was killed Sunday when the car she was driving left the road, rolled over a guardrail and down an embankment. DPS officials say 48-year-old Teresa Case was driving southbound on Highway 69 near Mayer Sunday at around 5:36 p.m. when she left the highway. Officials say Case was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe a blown tire may have contributed to the accident. The accident closed southbound Highway 69 for about two hours while the wreck was cleared and remains under investigation.
