Colorado Man Arrested After Bringing An AR-15 Into A Seligman Bar

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls Tuesday evening regarding a man walking into a Seligman bar with an AR-15 rifle. Officials say 36-year-old Nathan Gibson, from Colorado, was seen drinking at the bar at around midnight when he left to get his rifle from his hotel room at the Supi Motel. Gibson then returned to the bar with the 22-caliber rifle. Guests of the bar called 911 and began yelling at him to drop his weapon. He then dropped his rifle and ran back to his hotel room before deputies could arrive. Gibson then proceeded to call 911 himself, claiming the patrons of the bar had taken his rifle and should be arrested. He told deputies that “he was going to go for a walk with his rifle to Boulder City because this town sucked.” Gibson declined speaking to authorities any further. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail for disorderly conduct with a weapon.
