As cold weather approaches and snow begins to pile on the ground, the annual seasonal road closures will begin Tuesday. Main forest roads are expected to be closed across much of the Coconino National Forest for the safety of visitors and to maintain the road’s condition. Schnebly Hill Road, Forest Road 214, 618 and 229 have reportedly had the worst driving conditions in past years. Officials remind drivers to drive with caution and avoid driving on open roads that appear to be dangerous. To check on the status of open and closed roads, visit USDA.gov.
