The Coconino National Forest will begin selling a limited number of Christmas Tree permits online starting at 8 a.m. November 10th. Permit owners will be allowed to begin cutting on November 18th and continue to do so through December 31st. A total of 13-hundred permits will be available through Recreation.gov. There will be 400 permits for the Flagstaff Ranger District and 900 permits for the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. Forest officials say Flagstaff District permits usually sell out within a day, while Mogollon Rim permits take about a week to sell out. Permits are $15 per tree.
