Coconino Improves To 8-0 With A Big Win Over Seton Catholic

The Coconino Panthers are 8-0 after Monday’s 71-39 win over Seton Catholic. Jacob Begay led the Panthers with 22 points, 19 coming in the first half and Preston Olney added 11 in the win. Coconino got out to a little bit of a sluggish start, but led the Sentinels 17-4 and cruised from there. Amare Tom and Memphis James came off the bench to score nine points each. Nine Panthers scored at least four points in the win. Seton was led by Payton Lee with nine points. The Sentinals leading scorer for the season, Andrew Scranton, was held to just three points. Coconino will try to go to 9-0 Tuesday night when they host the Peoria Panthers. Coconino’s girls team took on top-ranked Seton Catholic in Chandler. The Panthers fell 57-47.
