Coconino Football Season Ends With A 49-26 Loss To Glendale In The 4A Playoffs

The Coconino Panthers football season came to an end Friday night with a 49-26 loss to the Glendale Cardinals in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. Offensively, the Panthers played well gaining 413 yards of total offense. Junior running back Cooper French finished the season with a bang. French rushed for 170 yards on 24 carries with a touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Enoch Watson had his best game of the season as he completed 13-of-20 passes for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Glendale senior running back Keyon Walker exploded for 270 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns. The Cardinals advance to the 4A quarterfinals to play the Dorados of Canyon del Oro, who upset Lake Havasu on the road. The Coconino Panthers finish the season with a 5-and-3 record.
