Both the Coconino Panthers and Flagstaff Eagles took to the road Friday night and it didn’t go well. The Panthers traveled to Prescott Valley to battle the Bradshaw Mountain Bears. Coconino turned the ball over on the first drive, which then the Bears turned into a touchdown. The Bears would score again in the first quarter, but that would be it as Bradshaw Mountain shut out the Coconino Panthers 14-0. Panthers running back Cooper French went over a-thousand yards for the season in the game, with 23 carries for 141 yards in the loss. The Bears had 204 yards of total offense to 169 for Coconino. The Panthers will go out of region next week with a trip to Lake Havasu City, while the Bears battle the Prescott Badgers for the 4A Grand Canyon Region title. As for the Badgers, they got a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown from defensive back Cervando Vega and never looked back as they knocked off Flagstaff 29-6. After scoring 40 points in three straight games, the Eagles have scored 24 in four games. They will travel to Kingman to battle Lee Williams next week.
