Coconino Dominates Bradshaw Mountain 38-14 Friday To Improve To 5-0

The Coconino Panthers amassed 434 yards rushing and used an over eight minute drive in the third quarter to beat the Bradshaw Mountain Bears 38-14 at Cromer Stadium Friday night. Senior running back Zach Bennett had 30 carries for 224 yards and three touchdowns, including a highlight 85-yard touchdown run. Senior Manuel Cardoza had 12 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns and had a 68-yard touchdown run called back on a holding penalty. The Panthers led the Bears 23-14 at halftime and shutout Bradshaw Mountain in the second half. The win was the 13th straight 4A Grand Canyon Region victory for the Panthers. Coconino improves to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in region play and will travel to Cottonwood next week to take on Mingus.
