Coconino County To Stop Testing Friday And Saturday, Start Back Up At Fort Tuhill Sunday

Coconino County has changed the drive-up specimen collection sites in regards to the coronavirus. Collection won’t take place Friday and Saturday this week. Health officials say the reason for the closure was due to strategic planning and not due to shortages. Also some students are coming back to the Coconino Community College campus. When the testing resumes on Sunday, the site will be at Fort Tuthill County Park, operating from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. To utilitze the site, people will need a referral from a medical provider to be tested for COVID-19. People experiencing mild respiratory illness, such as a slight fever or cough, should stay at home, monitor symptoms, contact their healthcare provider if needed and distance themselves from others as much as possible. Individuals experiencing serious symptoms should contact their healthcare provider for medical advice, or call (928) 679-7300.
