The second testing blitz in Coconino County for COVID-19 netted over 400 specimens Saturday. Health officials collected 413 total, to add to the 287 tests collected last Saturday in the first blitz. The tests are immediately sent to laboratories for testing. Those who were tested will be notified of the results this coming week. The third and final blitz testing event for COVID-19 will take place next Saturday, once again at the Coconino County Health and Human Services Building on King Street in Flagstaff from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to be tested during the blitz and no medical order is required. There will be walk-up and drive-up lanes available. If you want to be tested during the week, you can go to the site at Fort Tuthill County Park Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., however a medical order is required for testing at that site. For more information, contact the county’s hotline number at (928) 679-7300 or log onto coconino.az.gov/covid19.
