Coconino County Sees First Weekly Decline Of COVID-19 Cases Since The Start Of The Pandemic

Coconino County is seeing the first weekly decline of positive COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. Weekly positive cases in Coconino were down 28 cases from 162 the week of May 9th to 134 last week. Coconino County health officials are reporting a new death and 31 new cases of COVID-19 Monday. There are now 863 new cases and a total of 64 deaths in the county. There are 291 new negative test results for a total of 5,241. The number of positive tests in the Greater Flagstaff Area rose at least eight cases to 193, with 103 of the cases in areas of East Flagstaff north and there’s 72 cases in West Flagstaff and Fort Valley. The number of positive cases in tribal communities of the county is 540.
