Coconino County Sees A Spike In Negative Test Results Thursday

Coconino County is seeing a spike of negative test results Thursday. Health officials say there were 400 new negative results for a total of 4,060. The new negative numbers are likely to have come from last Saturday’s testing blitz. There are two new deaths and 31 new cases of COVID-19 the county. There are now 59 deaths and 765 positive cases related to the coronavirus thus far. The number of positive tests in the Greater Flagstaff Area rose at least eight cases to 154, with 84 of the cases in areas of East Flagstaff north and there’s 53 cases in West Flagstaff and Fort Valley. The number of positive cases in tribal communities of the county is 487. The most vulnerable age group regarding COVID-19 in the county is ages 20-to-44 years with 313 cases. Those 55 and older have seen 279 cases so far.
