Coconino County School Superintendent Risha VanderWey Resigns

Coconino County is looking for a new superintendent of schools. The county has announced that Dr. Risha VanderWey resigned as superintendent and started as the Superintendent of Schools for the Tuba City Unified School District. She started her new position in Tuba City on July 29th, but will remain as the County Superintendent of Schools until the Board of Supervisors announce a replacement. Dr. VanderWey has been superintendent, on a full-time basis, since 2016 and was appointed in 2014. Before becoming superintendent, she was the principal at Lake View Primary School in Page.
