Coconino County saw its largest spike in positive cases of COVID-19 to date last week. Health officials released the weekly report on the coronavirus today with some startling numbers. Last week there were 173 positive cases of the virus, which tops the previous mark of 169 set back on the week of May 9th. That week saw the most tests given in a single week as well, which was just over 21-hundred. Last week’s mark came with less than half of the tests from the week of May 9th with 920 total tests. Total deaths in COVID-19 related cases are down however. Over the last nearly three weeks the county has seen just five COVID-19 related deaths. Of the 1,503 total cases in the county as of Wednesday, 964 have recovered with still more cases under investigation for recovery.
