Coconino County is returning to “phase one” of their re-entry plan regarding COVID-19 after a recent surge of cases. Phase One says county buildings will be closed to the public for in-person business, with the exception of essential services. Masks will be mandatory in all county buildings. Employees will work remotely in order to minimize face time and no more than a third of county employees will work onsite. As of Friday there were 130 new cases of COVID-19 in the county. The county saw 509 total cases last week, most of them were in the Flagstaff area. Phase One will go into effect on Monday.
